Taylor leans heavily into the styling of the postcard of yesteryear. The vintage aesthetic of an era gone by. Now these serve as the backdrop for the social media souvenir. Pictures marking place and time for the viewer to share to friends and family on their phones and computers.
The joy of a summer evening at the local Goofy Golf course with my family was something I had forgotten about. Until I revisited as an adult. The memories and feelings of nostalgia came flooding back. In these pieces I attempt to subvert the rules of the gallery by making my art playable. You can walk on it, hit it, and touch everything. Then I decided why not take it out of the gallery all together and bring it out into the world. So I made travel size holes and set them up when I travel. Bypassing a gallery system I attempt to create conversation through play and experience.
